There are two main types of sun tints available for your Varilux® varifocal lenses - fixed and variable. Designed for a variety of light conditions, they will ensure your eyes are always protected and your visibility is never impaired.
Fixed sun tints come in five different classes of sun protection, ranging from 0-4. Class 0 is the lightest and ideal for light sensitive eyes when indoors or if it is overcast. Class 3 - 4 are for bright and exceptionally bright sun conditions and can be used as a suitable alternative to buying a sun lens.
Variable sun tints such as Essilor Transitions® go from being totally clear when indoors to a dark sun tint outdoors giving the wearer full sun protection.
